Finally, A Hair Oil That Doesn't Weigh My Hair Down

Finally, A Hair Oil That Doesn't Weigh My Hair Down

11/05/2021

An oil that deeply nourishes my hair without weighing it down seems too good to be true, but Ceremonia's Hair Oil Mist con Aloe Vera is the unicorn of hair oils.

The secret sauce of the hydrating formula is aloe vera and Mexican chia seed oil, which work harmoniously to hydrate, strengthen, reduce frizz, and boost shine. Ceremonia has made the formula with all hair types in mind, so it works on fine straight hair to thick coils.

What also sets this oil apart is that it's not actually an oil, but an ultra-fine mist. This format makes the product easier (and less messy) to apply since you don't need to apply it to your hair with your hands. It can also be used on both damp and dry hair. Post-shower, spritz it on freshly-washed hair as a nourishing treatment. And in-between washes, spritz it on your dry mid-lengths to ends to refresh hair and get a bit of extra shine.

While my 1C hair is relatively thick and tends to be on the dry side, most hair oils I've tried have all left greasy residue on my hair. Because oils have made my hair look like it hasn't been washed in weeks, I've typically steered clear of them. However, this oil mist intrigued me, and I'm glad I gave it a shot.

To use, I simply shake the bottle, then spritz it on clean, towel-dried hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Then, I comb my hair with a detangling comb to work it through my hair. The oil gives my hair an extra shot of moisture and I notice some extra shine once it's dry. Speaking of my dry hair, after I blow dry it, I can't even tell I used an oil.

I guess this makes me a hair oil fan now.
