You likely know Kate Bosworth from her breakout role as Anne Marie Chadwick in Blue Crush. What you might be surprised to find out is that that movie is almost 20(!) years old…😱. And yet, Kate looks… exactly the same?! The actress was only 19 when she filmed the movie in Hawaii and now, at 38, she still sports a flawlessly glowing complexion.

If you follow her on social media then you likely know how she does it—she’s super into skincare. She regularly posts her skincare and makeup routines and says she religious about doing the former. “I take very good care of my skin. I have pretty sensitive skin, [and] I’m quite fair so I get sun damage really easily,” Kate has shared in interviews with Violet Grey, Lisa Eldridge and Daily Mail.

She loves a calming cleanser.

Kate shared an Instagram video detailing her vacation skincare routine saying, “I’m on holiday, so I don’t want to have a million steps in my skincare routine,” she continued. Kate said she starts her day by washing her face with Epicuren herbal cleanser. “I really love it, and I’ve used it a long time,” she explained.

In another post from fall of 2020, Kate shared that she’s recently become a fan of the skincare line Pai saying, “I’ve been wearing a lot more makeup than I normally have so I’ve been having to figure out a routine that takes makeup off thoroughly but gently and I was introduced to one of my favorite brands at that moment called Pai.” She went on to say that she loves the Pai cleansing oil because “It removes any SPF, all kinds of makeup. It’s super gentle, it’s softening. Every time I use this to take off all of my makeup I feel like my skin is balanced and soft.

Followed by a calming serum.

Kate follows that up with Epicuren calming gel. “I really love it. It’s very clean and doesn’t have a weird aloe vera fragrance,” she said.

And a calming moisturizer.

Another Pai favorite is the Anthemis Soothing Moisturizer that she also shared in this post from fall of 2020. “I love this moisturizer because it’s moisturizing but not so crazy thick that it lays on top of the skin. It smells so good too—it smells like the best bit of a chamomile tea bag.”

She’s a proponent of sunscreen.

Kate then discussed some sunscreens that she loves, including Coola (which she said she wears under makeup), Inno-Derma (“you can put it on any skin—it doesn’t make me break out,” she said), and Sun Si Belle (“I love, love, love this,” she said of the tinted sunscreen). Kate topped everything off with some lip balm and that was that.

She likes indulging in a mask.

If it’s not clear, Kate is a fan of skincare which of course includes masks. One of her favorites is the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask. “It tightens, it brightens—it makes my face look like it’s had a good night’s sleep when I could have had no sleep,” said the actress in an interview with Into the Gloss. “It’s the best quick fix I’ve come across for skin.”
