Sophie Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward carried out engagements in Forfar and Angus. They visited Forfar Golf Club, Utopia Costumes, and a social supermarket, S-Mart.

The royal wore a navy mini dress with a floral print, which costs £985 from Etro.

The gorgeous gown has since sold out on Net a Porter.

Sophie paired it with a pair of Penelope Chilvers shoes, a brand loved by fellow royal Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

The “Tango” Mary Jane style shoes cost £239.

Her Sophie Habsburg clutch bag, a baby blue version of the Ginny bag, costs €190.00 (£164) full price.

The royal wore her blonde highlighted hair in a chic bun.

Fans were quick to praise the royal on Twitter.

One wrote: “Sophie is class personified.”

“The Countess of Wessex is just so likable and a tremendous support to Her Majesty,” another said.

One claimed the royal as “representing Her Majesty impeccably as always.”

Etro, the brand behind Sophie’s dress, is an Italian fashion house.

Founded in the late 60s, the company is known for paisley patterns from the 80s.

Other notable people who have worn the brand include actress and director Olivia Wilde.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio and reality star Nicole Richie have worn the brand on the red carpet.

Sophie is one of the UK’s best-dressed royals and has a whopping £3 million jewellery collection.

She has one necklace estimated to be worth a whopping £250,000 alone.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, founder of Prestige Pawnbrokers of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn James Constantino said: “Sometimes you just can’t always put a price on a personalised piece of jewellery, especially when details on the stone in terms of clarity and weight are not known.

“But it would be fair to say that a piece such as this with its royal connection along with added historic value could be worth in excess of £250,000.”

Recently an expert analysed Sophie Wessex’s body language with her two children Louise and James.

The body language expert commented on Sophie’s “strong” parenting.

Darren Stanton said: “I think it’s clear from many of the pictures that Sophie is the strongest member of her family.

“Prince Edward has his hands in his pockets which of course could just be that his hands are cold, however, this could also signify a lack of confidence in his surroundings.”
