Ben Affleck went viral yesterday after a TikTok user posted a video of him asking her why she unmatched him on dating app Raya.
Nivine Jay, 29, unmatched Affleck on the dating app for the stars because she thought his profile was fake.
Affleck later sent her a video on Instagram asking why she unmatched him and confirming he was the real deal, which she uploaded to TikTok on Monday.
Nivine wrote: "Thinking of the time I matched with Ben Affleck on Raya and thought it was fake so I unmatched him and he sent me a video on Instagram."
Nivine’s post went viral and she has been the subject of speculation from fans of the famous actor. The video has racked up over a million views so far.
The Good Will Hunting actor asked her in a video message: "Nivine, why did you unmatch me? It's me!" as he smiled for the camera.
The caption to Navine’s viral TikTok video read “Sorry Ben” with hashtags and emojis.
Dating app Raya is selective with a vetting process and is favoured by celebrities.
Nivine is originally from Houston, Texas, but currently lives in Los Angeles. The social media star has worked as a model, actress and stand-up comedian and has written a romance book about dating called Cry Baby.
Some of Nivine’s raunchier jokes from her comedy routine include one-liners about sleeping with her boss.
Nivine told E!News that she was making fun of herself, not Ben Affleck, in her viral video. She explained: “I'm seeing a lot of comments calling him a creep and l don't think that's fair.
"l wasn't making fun of him in the video. l was making fun of myself for thinking he was a catfish and it was just supposed to be funny."
Ben Affleck, 48, married Alias actress Jennifer Garner in 2005 and they separated in 2015. He split from Cuban actress Ana De Armas who he split with in January.
