Britney Spears has ‘no idea’ when or if she will take the stage again

Britney Spears fans may have a rather long wait to see the singer perform again as she admits she has ‘no idea’ if or when she will take the stage again.

The Toxic star, 39, stopped performing amid her conservatorship battle and admitted in a fan Q&A that she doesn’t know if she will do shows again.

After answering questions on her shoe size and favourite business trip, she said: ‘The next question is; am I ready to take the stage again? Am I going to take the stage again? Will I ever take the stage again?

‘I have no idea. I’m having fun right now. I’m transitioning in my life and I’m enjoying myself.’

Britney did not elaborate further on what would sway her decision, having performed her last show in 2018.

The singer last appeared on stage on October 21, 2018 at the United States Grand Prix and has been on an extended hiatus amid her conservatorship case.

Britney has been under conservatorship since 2008, following her public breakdown the year before, with her dad Jamie Spears serving as conservator and holding power over her personal and financial decisions.

The next hearing in the case will take place on June 23 with the Circus star set to address the court remotely.

Britney has asked for her dad to be removed as conservator, with the power being given to Jodi Montgomery who has been temporary conservator after Jamie stepped down due to ill health, but it is not expected that the singer will ask for the conservatorship to be lifted entirely.

Page Six reports that while cameras will not be allowed in the court, ‘limited seating will be available in the courtroom and in an overflow courtroom with a live audio feed from the courtroom.’
