Emmerdale actress Charley Webb, 33, has announced her return to social media after a prolonged absence, explaining that she was away due to an issue that took “forever” to sort out. In a short clip, the mother-of-three revealed that she had missed interacting with her followers, before promising to make up for the lack of posting by “boring” them with posts and stories everyday.

Speaking to her 508,000 followers, the star addressed her absence from Instagram, which she soon explained.

Shockingly, the star revealed that her time off from the social media platform wasn’t down to personal reasons, but was because her account got hacked.

Addressing her fans, the star looked chic in a navy blue shirt, minimal make-up and perfectly manicured hands.

She said: “So tired, so I’ve not been on here for like a week because my account got hacked.”

The ITV actress revealed that the situation proved far from simple to resolve.

“It’s taken forever to sort it out,” she added.

Charley went on to promise to make up for lost time by jokingly telling her followers that she’s planning to bombard them with content.

She added: “I mean you’ve probably not noticed, you’ve probably not missed me.

“I’ve definitely missed you lot, but I’m back now and I’m going to bore you all every day,” she signed off.

Despite Charley’s absence from social media, her husband and Emmerdale co-star Matthew Wolfenden has been actively posting about his time filming on the soap.

He also documented a family trip to a wildlife centre, during which he joked about feeding his three sons, Buster Bowie and Ace, to wild animals.

However, the star recently landed himself in hot water with his wife after she caught him with a glass of wine while looking after their three sons.

Mathew said: “Charley’s visiting her mum in Manchester so I’m on me own, daddy daycare. (sic)

“My question is, is it too early to have a glass of red?”

“I’m only joking, I would never have a glass of red, at half-past 12…” the star added.

He continued to say that his plan was to “chill out” with son Bowie for the rest of the day.

However, the actor then appeared on camera clutching a glass of wine as he appeared to take a sip.

In the next clip, Matthew sheepishly admitted he had been caught out by his spouse, who had called to give him a stern telling off.

He continued: “So I just had Charl on the phone, [she said] ‘You better not be having a drink. You’ve got the kids’. (sic)

“She’s got no sense of humour. No sense of humour at all, [he replied] ‘Calm down, it’s a joke’.”
