Jennifer Aniston and Friends cast lead mourners at Matthew Perrys funeral11/04/2023
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer have reunited to pay their respects to their late Friends co-star, Matthew Perry.
A private funeral was held on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles for Perry, who was found unresponsive in a hot tub last Saturday at his Pacific Palisades home.
The tragic death of Perry – who dedicated the last years of his life to helping others receive substance and alcohol abuse treatment – has rocked the Friends long-standing fanbase, not least of which the cast.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail, four of the five remaining core members of the beloved sitcom – which ran from 1994 to 2004 – were seen dressed in black as they arrived at the Forest Lawn Church of the Hills in Los Angeles.
The group have remained publicly silent following the death of their long-time friend, releasing only one joint statement to share their heartbreak at losing a person who had played such a key role in their lives.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” the statement read on Monday.
“There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
“In time we will say more, as and when we are able,” they added.
“For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
It is not known if Matt Le Blanc, who played Joey, the housemate of Perry’s Chandler Bing, was in attendance, as he was not pictured with the group.

Poignantly, the cemetery is located opposite Warner Bros Studios, where the group filmed their New York-based sitcom for 10 seasons.
Stars including Carrie Fisher, Bette Davis and Anne Heche have also been laid to rest at the cemetery.
Leading the mourners was Perry’s actor father, John Bennett Perry, as well as his stepfather, Keith Morrison.
A small congregation made up solely of close family and friends came to the closed, private funeral.
He was laid to rest in a dark wooden coffin, which was seen bring brought in by the funeral directors.
The ceremony lasted one-hour, and according to DailyMail, ended with Peter Gabriel’s Don’t Give Up playing.
Currently, there has been no confirmed cause of death for Perry – who just hours before he was found dead was playing pickleball with pals for a number of hours.
The actor, who had a long-standing public fight with sobriety, was in good spirits before his death, after dedicating his life to helping others stay away from drugs and alcohol.
Initial toxicology reports have ruled out methamphetamines and fentanyl being in his system at the time of his death, with no illegal drugs found at the scene either.
Some prescription medication was found, but it was all properly labelled and stored in bottles and does not seem suspicious.
The Matthew Perry Foundation is now being launched by friends and family in order to continue his life’s work.
