Katie Price is feeling broodier than ever after seeing her sister Sophie go through pregnancy. And while she's struggled to conceive her sixth child, with fiance Carl Woods, she hasn't lost her sense of humour.
In fact the star joked that if a recent trip to Portugal had done the trick, she'd honour the place of conception when naming the new arrival.
“After their holiday in Portugal, she’s holding on to hope that she could be pregnant," a source told new magazine.. "She’s even joked that if she is, they’ll name the baby something like Lisbon after the holiday!” the source claimed.
Apparently 43-year-old Katie fears it might not happen naturally for her.
“Katie is still desperate for a baby and is hoping to conceive naturally. But she knows she’s not getting any younger and is worried about her eggs,” the source claimed. “She feels like the odds are stacked against her. However, she is staying positive that
she will have another baby.
“Seeing her sister pregnant has only made her more broody and she’s hoping that spending time with the newborn will make her fertile juices flow. She’s hoping that a new baby in the family could get things moving naturally for her.”
Sophie, 31, welcomed her newborn son over the weekend. And Katie – who is already mum to Harvey, 18, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and Bunny, six – is excited for fiancé Carl, 32, to bond with their new family member so that he can get a taste of fatherhood himself.
“Sophie’s baby will also be great practice for Carl,” continued the source. “He hasn’t got much experience when it comes to babies, so Katie’s hoping he can get some practice in by changing nappies.”
Last month, Katie revealed she and Carl were looking into IVF in a bid to have a baby. “It has not happened naturally, unfortunately,” she said. “I thought it would be easy as I’ve never had to plan it before. It’s always just happened. We have never been careful having sex from day one, as we knew we wanted to be together.”
Katie added, “But we really started properly trying in the Maldives in November. We’ve been planning it all on an app and having loads of sex on the three days I’m ovulating.
“We haven’t been doing it every day as they say not to. We don’t do it for three days ahead of ovulating, to make sure the sperm
is stronger. We’ve tried everything.”
Carl also opened up about his own fertility fears after previously using steroids. “I have a history of using steroids when I was younger and it’s always been in the back of my mind – the damage,” he said.
But Katie hopes that luck will be on their side, and she'll get the new addition to her brood.
“She’s really excited for the future and wants a baby sooner rather than later after turning another year older.”
