Lorraine Kelly has revealed she has “no doubt” that Piers Morgan will return to our screens on Good Morning Britain, during her daytime show on Friday.
Piers, 56, famously walked off set after he refused to apologise for his comments about Meghan Markle, 39, on air back in March, days before the quit the show.
However, Lorraine, 61, believes that this won’t be the last time we see the hot-headed host on the popular daily news show.
The mother-of-one likened the Britain’s Got Talent judge to Whack-A-Mole as she told viewers to “watch this space” while ITV producers look for a replacement for the opinionated presenter.
Lorraine told The Sun that she wouldn’t be surprised to see him part of the show again in the near future.
She told the publication: “He will be back in some shape or form, I have no doubt.
“He’s still doing Life Stories and all of that. He’s tweeting his a** off and writing his columns.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back. Nothing would surprise me about Piers.”
But it isn’t just Lorraine who believes that Piers will return to the show, as the man himself, who recently slammed Chrissy Teigen's public apology, said that the production team have reached out after his three-month absence.
Piers revealed: “They reached out. There have been approaches. Never say never.”
Piers quit the ITV morning show after he refused to apologise for his comments about not believing Meghan’s claims in her bombshell interview with Oprah, along with husband Prince Harry.
Piers has since continued to comment on the Duchess of Sussex and recently accused the new parents of "hijacking" the Queen's name for their baby daughter.
However, since his dramatic departure from the show, ratings have plummeted as the producers continue to trial various presenters on the show.
