Love Island fans have shared their suspicions that the contestants in the villa are bending their two drinks limit.
Viewers of the hit ITV2 dating show, who recently welcomed new arrival Danny Bibby, raised their concerns after AJ’s arrival on Thursday night as some of the Islanders appeared to slur their words.
The Spanish villa is renowned for throwing a good party, and while it might look like cocktails are flowing, there is a strict alcohol policy to follow.
According to 2016 Islander Liana Isadora Van-Riel, the contestants never get an opportunity to get drunk despite how it looks on screen.

A spokesperson for the show reiterated: “We provide our Islanders with all of the necessary precautionary measures and all alcohol consumption is strictly monitored by our production team.”
Yet some fans thought that this rule might have been broken after it became noticeable that Hugo and AJ appeared to be slurring their words as the night drew to a close.

As AJ pulled fan favourite Hugo over for a chat by the pool and the other contestants made their way to bed, fans noticed that the pair’s voices had changed throughout their discussion.
Hugo tried to pass off the vocal difference as excitement which left him with a husky voice, while AJ couldn’t help but slip from one word to another.
Hugo opened the conversation with his vocal explanation, admitting: “I’ll just apologise, I got very excited when we won the challenge.
“I was shouting quite a lot, I was very excited to meet you. So, my throat is very husky at the minute.”
It wasn’t just AJ and Hugo who came under fire for slurring their words as Chloe appeared to be the biggest culprit on Wednesday night’s episode and viewers and took to twitter to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “How much booze are they feeding the contestants this year? Or is slurring just a new trend that I am too old to know about?! That definitely is a possibility.”
Another agreed: “Are the islanders allowed more alcohol this series or something? Every night slurring their words.”
A third chimed: “Is Chloe drunk tonight? Can hardly understand her slurring her speech.”
