Strictly star Bobby Brazier unveils first training injury

Strictly Star Bobby Braizer gets his first set of blisters

Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has revealed that he has suffered his first dance-related injury.

Injuries during training are a common occurrence for contestants on the BBC One show, as stars are pushed to their limits each week in preparation for some truly spectacular routines.

Taking to Instagram, Bobby’s dance partner Dianne Buswell updated her 919,000 followers on Bobby’s progress.

Sharing a clip to her story, she showed the EastEnders actor’s badly blistered feet after a tough day of training.

“Congrats Bobby on your first set of blisters,” she joked in the caption.

Bobby and Dianne are set to do a Charleston to Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx this week.

Another routine viewers can look forward to includes a Viennese Waltz from Nigel Harman and his professional partner Katya Jones, who came top of the leaderboard after last week’s Paso Doble.

Meanwhile, Les Dennis and Nancy Xu, who are hoping to include their score after placing at the bottom of the leaderboard last week, will be dancing the Samba to Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation.

Bobby has not been the only celebrity to unveil a grim-looking foot injury so early into the series.

Fellow star Zara McDermott, who is paired up with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima, also recently revealed a nasty toe injury on her social media.

Taking to Instagram earlier this week, she shared a clip of her sore-looking foot with her 1.8 million followers.

“I put this on my close friends but tbh I think the world needs to see this,” she captioned the clip. “Half my toe has come off tbh”.

The Love Island star will be hoping to wow audiences this week with her Quickstep routine set to Anyone For You (Tiger Lily) by George Ezra.

Strictly Come Dancing returns this Saturday at 6.20pm on BBC One.
