Sir Tom Jones was snapped in Manchester today, alongside his fellow The Voice UK 2020 co-star Olly Murs. The Welsh singer, who turned 80 in June, made sure he followed all the necessary safety precautions when he headed to work, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The TV star could be in a protective face covering as he left his hotel and made his way to the studio.

Tom, who was casually dressed in a black ensemble, also donned a dark cap and gloves for his outing.

The Delilah hitmaker was last seen on TV at the start of September during a pre-recorded segment for the BBC Radio 2 Live At Home event.

He belted out some of his most famous tracks to a tiny audience, which consisted of the hosts of the show and the production crew.

The Voice presenter Emma Willis took to social media today to reveal some behind-the-scenes snaps as the show gets set to return to TV screens.

The ninth series began at the start of the year in January but the coronavirus outbreak meant the live finals could not go ahead as planned.

ITV later confirmed that the show would return this Autumn with pre-recorded episodes like those seen on The Voice Kids.

Earlier today, Emma could be seen with backstage reporter AJ Odudu in the pictures she shared with her 1.7 million Instagram followers.

Will.i.am and Meghan Trainor are the other singing coaches on the show.

Last week, Tom took to his own social media account to post a throwback picture which showed him a big red armchair, not too dissimilar to the famous spinning chairs which are seen on the programme.

“Not all big red chairs spin! @thevoiceuk #tbt,” the singer wrote alongside the Instagram photo, in view of his 341,000 followers.

Clearly amused by the post, co-star Emma shared three laughing emojis next to the post.

“Where [have] you been we’ve missed you?” another follower added.

A third remarked: “Lovely photo, lovely smile, looking forward to seeing you back in your red chair.”
