BEAMS Taps Arc’Teryx for Another Technical-Focused Collab

The Japanese clothing brand, BEAMS, has teamed up with a wide array of entities ranging from sportswear-focused Champion to American heritage brand, Polo Ralph Lauren, and even Columbia PFG. But those are just a few of the long list. Now, the brand has reunited with the high-end Canadian outdoor brand, Arc’Teryx for a new collaboration.

The new offering continues the relationship between the two brands as it marks the third installment of the Arc’teryx x BEAMS Project, which is a bespoke design initiative with a taste for technical aesthetics. Fit for the outdoors whether it be hiking or cool weather adventures, the collection is comprised of apparel and accessories. Encompassing the wardrobe are the Beta Jacket, Atom Hoody, Mantis 26L Backpack and Mantis 2 Wasitpack.

The entire lineup of pieces is inspired by the essence of “Wabi-Sabi,” which is a spiritual Japanese sentiment of evaluating things. Enhancing the pieces are fabrications like N30p 3L GORE-TEX, Coreloft Compact, Yono 20 and more – adding weather-protection, water-resistant, breathable and lightweight qualities. The lineup is then complete in monochromatic shades of light gray, gray, black and white alongside a special “TRANQUIL” patchwork.

The latest from the bespoke Arc’teryx x BEAMS Project is gearing up for pre-sale on December 2 at BEAMS Harajuku and BEAMS BOY Harajuku. Lottery reservations for same-day entry are open online until November 19.
