Gap Collaborates With The Brooklyn Circus to Launch Collection Celebrating Individuality and Culture01/31/2023
Founded by Ouigi Theodore, BKc remains a Haitian-owned menswear label known for its historically-inspired and preppy styles. Teaming up with Gap, the two brands have crafted a genderless and ageless apparel capsule that comprises iconic Americana silhouettes from varsity jackets, hoodies, chinos, sweatpants, Oxford popovers, denim, and more.
The collection is presented in a highly stylized campaign shot by John Midgley, which starred a powerful and all-encompassing lineup of “cultural connectors” including BKc’ founder Ouigi Theodore, actress and activist Indya Moore, actor and boxer Javon Walton, filmmaker Emily May Jampel, and Yahdon Israel, the founder of Literaryswag Book Club, to name a few.
Allison Holker Boss, the wife of the late multi-hyphenate recalled, “When Stephen and I first saw his images from the campaign, it brought tears to our eyes. He was so moved by how they captured his true essence, and he was excited for the world to see them.” In honor of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Gap will be supporting The 988 Lifeline with donations to the Vibrant Emotional Health organization.
The collection is available to shop on Gap’s official website and select physical stores. It’ll also be available to purchase from The Brooklyn Circus’ online shop, as well as its flagship store in Boerum Hill.
