Gemma Collins says she regrets promoting diet injections to her fans04/01/2021
Gemma Collins says she regrets promoting dangerous diet injections to her fans while in a “desperate place”.
The former TOWIE star came under fire for promoting SkinnyJabs which experts warned could be “life threatening” and should only ever be prescribed by a doctor.
Speaking on the GC podcast Gemma explained: “I have said that I’m not promoting any diet injections or anything like that.
"I kind of regret doing it but I feel like sometimes you’re in such a desperate place and you want to lose weight but actually I’ve come away from all the diet promotion because I wish we could get rid of that word diet.
"It’s basically what works for you. I eat scrambled eggs, bacon, avocados, I have two bits of chocolate, I have jelly, nuts. But my diet may not work for you, it’s just a healthy eating plan that works for you.”
She has now rebranded herself as the “fitness queen” and is advocating safer and more natural ways of losing weight, such as healthy eating and exercise.

She said: “It is so important that we keep getting that message home to people, that beauty is more than just these pumped-up faces, it’s not all about that.
Gemma says she is now on a “massive health drive” since turning 40 and neglecting her health previously.
"It’s crazy to think that one minute I was obsessed with clothes and shopping and now I’ve actually got obsessed with health and exercise,” she continued.

"It’s me Gemma, my new name is fitness queen. Since turning 40 I’ve become so much more aware of my health and I’m kind of regretting maybe not taking my health as seriously as I should have done.
"In our 20s and 30s we don’t think about it, I am trying to be so fit and healthy right now, I am on a massive health drive."
Fans have been amazed at the progress Gemma has made, with her managing to lose an amazing three stone.
