Leopardstown racing tips: Templegate's pinstickers guide to the Savills Chase on Monday – with an 8-1 bet12/27/2020
KEMBOY can land his second Savills Chase.
Willie Mullins’ hope came out on top two years ago and went close last season when looking a little rusty.
He’s had a comeback this time so should be spot on.
Minella Indo keeps improving and was impressive when scoring at Navan last month. He has a lot more to offer.
Tornado Flyer went close in the John Durkan and has every chance if seeing out this longer trip, while Allaho has more to give over fences.

A PLUS TARD 3/5
PLUS no minus. Didn’t seem to get home over this trip as a novice and good run over 2m on comeback at Navan last time. Only six so could find more staying power but stamina has to be a slight worry.
HO can go. Third in the RSA Chase last season but made errors when held on comeback behind Min at Punchestown three weeks ago. Stays well and it’s still early days as a chaser so he can improve.
BALKO DES FLOS 2
BLANKO Balko. Has had a few goes in this grade and has always come up short including at Down Royal last time out. Stays well but doesn’t look up to this level.
DELTA WORK 4
DELTA a force. Won this last year in a thriller and followed up here before a solid fifth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Looked rusty when beaten six lengths at Down Royal last time and will be much more on his game today.
EASY GAME 3
EASY come. Improving with every run and landed a Gowran Grade 2 in October before a decent second last time. Steps up in class and distance here and not certain that either will suit.
FAKIR D’OUDARIES 3
FAK no hack. Consistent Grade 1 performer over shorter trips with an excellent second in the Arkle last season’s highlight. Came back with a rusty effort over two miles at Naas and needs to improve on that upped in distance.

JETT off. Was sixth in this last season but returns in very modest form after three poor efforts this season. Jumped round Aintree in the Becher Chase out the back and needs to find his old sparkle to remotely figure.
KEM on. Won this in 2018 and fourth last year when a prep run may have helped. Has had that this time thanks to a solid second at Thurles and he should be right in the mix again given he likes this course and distance.
SOUR Melon. Grade 1 performer but all his best form has been around two miles. Didn’t seem to get home over 2m4f in the mud at Punchestown earlier this month and stamina has to be a concern.
MINELLA INDO 4
IN the money. RSA Chase second who has done well on both starts this season with wins in the soft at Navan and Wexford. Sees out this trip strongly and looks a class act. Ground will be ideal and he’s a major player.
PRESENTING PERCY 3
PRESENT danger. RSA Chase winner at best and has been placed a couple of times in this grade since. Back to near his best when winning a Listed chase at Thurles last month but needs more upped to this level again.
BIG Sam. Battled to win the Golden Miller Chase at Cheltenham over 2m4f and looked rusty when third on comeback at Down Royal. Not certain to see out this longer trip but could nick a place if he does.
TORNADO FLYER 4
TOR de force. Knocking on the door at this level and was just a length away in the John Durkan at Punchestown latest. Not proven his staying power for this distance yet but is on the upgrade and can outrun his odds.
TOUT EST PERMIS 2
TOUT not sweet. Was a solid third in the Down Royal Champion Chase on his last spin over fences and is fit from a hurdles effort at Navan. Needs more rain as his best has come in really testing ground.
