Mouth Larva and other seemingly innocent things you should never Google

Google ’s image search feature is one of the most ground-breaking tools in the history of the internet, allowing anyone with Wi-Fi to bring up a picture of whatever they wish at the simple click of a button.

However, in certain instances, some images are best left unseen.

As with any slightly obscure story online, the particular phrases and keywords you do not want to type into Google images did once have a rather lengthy subreddit; warning you of the kind of atrocities you could witness with just one innocent, poorly worded search.

Here are just five of them:

Fournier

NBA fans let this be a warning; when attempting to show your friends a picture of Orlando Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier, just be careful with how you go about it.

His nickname is ‘Never Google’ (seriously), and the reason why is rather gruesome.

It is because the Frenchman’s surname, Fournier, is shared with a specific type of gangrene that affects the genitals.

Degloving

This would be a particularly niche Google Image search at the best of times, why are you searching degloving? Perhaps you were after pictures of animals ‘degloving’ their tails to evade predators? Regardless, that isn’t what you’ll find on your search.

Unfortunately, degloving is also the process of an area of skin being torn off of underlying tissue. It is not a pretty sight and best left well alone.

Calculus Bridge

  • Eight 'innocent' things you should never search for on Google

Though it may sound like some kind of incredibly advanced mathematical equation, the reality is far worse.

Calculus Bridge is the process of so much tartar building up inside a person’s mouth that it creates an outer layer completely coating the teeth and the gaps between them.

Certain to put you off your dinner, or at least your tartar sauce.

Mouth Larva

Often found by people trawling the internet on the hunt for moth larva, just one little spelling error can be enough to make you throw your laptop out of the window and never use Google images again.

Let this list serve as a warning, though it is just the tip of the iceberg; a few typos could see Google leaving you faced with all kinds of horrors.

Blue Waffle

Given the rise in decadent desserts and home baking, you may be after some new ideas on to how to jazz up your dishes. Though you may think searching "Blue Waffle" could return wholesome images of bubble-gum ice cream on a bed of warm waffle, it does not.

This is because "Blue Waffle’"is also the name of a fictional sexually transmitted disease, believed to turn the genitals blue while disfiguring them.

Urban Dictionary define "Blue waffle" as something that should never be looked up ever; probably good advice.
