Mum makes cheap ‘bouncy castle’ mat at home with B&M balloons and vacuum pack03/28/2021
A mum has made a bouncy castle-style mat for her kids using nothing more than vacuum-sealed bags and some colourful balloons – as shown in an amazing video she shared on social media.
In a clip uploaded on her @libbynelson44 TikTok channel, she demonstrates how she made the fun toy and bought some vacuum bags from B&M.
She then put filled balloons inside the bag and sucked out all of the air with her vacuum.
Libby, who had first seen the trick on TikTok, then shows her young children excitedly jumping around on the bouncy mats and was very impressed with how they turned out.
Because the air has been sucked out of the vacuum bag, the pressure of the kids jumping does not burst the balloons.
"Today’s B&M shopping kids love it," she wrote in the caption.
She added in the comments: "None have popped so far four kids playing on them."
The clip has been watched more than 625,000 times and received 19,000 "likes" on the video-sharing app, with heaps of mums saying they will definitely try it out.
