EAGER shoppers will want to know when they can head to the shops to grab some bargains over the bank holiday.

With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year, we've got an extra bank holiday on December 27.

This is on top of the usual Boxing Day bank holiday on Monday, December 26.

Fans of Next's famous Boxing Day sales will no doubt be eager to know when they'll be able to take advantage of the store's annual bargains.

Here is what you need to know about what times Next shops across the UK will be open.

And, with the annual end of season sale starting in stores on December 27, Next is likely to be closed on Boxing Day too.

But, yes it's good news for shoppers because the sale starts on Tuesday, despite it being a bank holiday.

Doors will open at 6am.

The online sale does start on Christmas Eve so you won't even need to leave the comfort of your home to pick up some savings.

Over the following week, Next stores will be trading extended trading times similar to those they have traded in December. 

All trading times for each shop are available on its website so make sure you check your local for details. 

Are shops closed on the Bank Holiday?

The majority of retailers have confirmed the days people will be able to shop in their stores over the Christmas period.

Most shops and supermarkets will be closed for certain days in order to give staff some much-needed time off.

Almost all stores across the UK are shut on Christmas Day, but there are also a handful of retailers that won't open on Boxing Day either.

Opening hours can vary from branch to branch, so check your local store times before you make the trip.
