“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond says she has lost 43 pounds since starting her weight loss journey — and she is “still working on it.”

“I hesitate to even say that number, because for me, the way I feel today, it isn’t about the weight loss,” the popular blogger and author revealed in a lengthy post on her site.

“Feeling good is really all that matters, and because of that, the weigh-ins are becoming less and less important to me.”

Drummond told her readers that she wanted to disclose how she lost the weight not out of “self-celebration,” but “hopefully” as inspiration.

“Everything I’m about to lay out worked for me, and if any of it helps you or inspires you, that’s wonderful,” she wrote, before advising, “But don’t take it as gospel, and definitely talk to your doctor before starting anything new.”

The 52-year-old then listed some popular methods others turn to that she avoided like the Keto diet, intermittent fasting, a personal trainer, or weight loss program.

Instead, Drummond said she ate fewer calories, weighed her food, exercised, built muscle, ate more protein, ate less sugar, drank no alcohol, used an app called Happy Scale, and switched to a standing desk. She provided details for each step.

“It only took me 52 years to figure it out, but that’s okay!” she concluded in her post. “I hope this helps you, whether in big ways or small.”

On Instagram, Drummond posted a picture of herself looking slimmer alongside a friend, and shared that her “biggest takeaway” was that “dang, I feel so much better.”

She then quipped, “And I still love cake, I just eat a Rhode Island sized piece instead of a Texas sized piece.”

In May, when Drummond was down 38 pounds, she told her fans she decided to start her weight loss journey in January because her eating had “crept up” over the years, “especially during COVID.”

“I look better but I feel so much better, and that’s what really counts,” the cookbook author added. “I’m still a goofball, I just have a lot more energy.”
