Plane dumps ‘fluidy poo’ over man ‘splattering whole garden, umbrellas and him’10/19/2021
A man was left "covered" head-to-toe in human poo after a plane unleashed its toilet waste into his garden.
The disgusting downpour managed to cover the entire garden of his Windsor home, meaning that the "garden umbrellas and him" were left soiled.
The story was brought to light by Cllr Karen Davies at a meeting of The Royal Borough Of Windsor and Maidenhead's aviation forum.
Usually, modern aircraft store their sewage in special waste tanks, ready to be disposed on landing without incident.
Yet that wasn't the case in July.
Cllr Davies explained that the overhead waste missiles have actually been a recurring issue in her area. However, they are usually far less disgusting than this latest incident.
She told the meeting: "I know a number of incidents happen every year with frozen sewage from planes, but this wasn't frozen and his whole garden was splattered in a very unpleasant way.
"He was out in the garden at the time, so a really horrible, horrible experience.
"Hopefully it never happens again to any of our residents."
She added that she had been contacted by her distraught constituent who described the incident as "dreadful".
John Bowden, another local councillor, called the splattering a "one in a billion chance", going on to suggest that the warm weather may have caused the frozen stool to "come out as a more 'fluidy' item".
Cllr Geoff Paxton, who has worked in airports for 40 years, agreed that the incident was "very rare".
He explained at the meeting that old planes often had issues with leaky toilets, which would consequently cause the poo not to freeze properly.
But, he continued, since the introduction of new vacuum toilets on modern planes this is far less of an issue, and one he hasn't seen in quite some years.
