The Repair Shop’s Will Kirk has shared photos from his wedding day – after finally making it down the aisle a year later than planned. 

The handy BBC star, 36, posted photos of the nuptials, which took place on Thursday last week, calling the wedding the ‘best day of my life’.  

Kirk, a specialist in wood restoration, and his new wife, a recently-qualified doctor, had been forced to postpone their big day last year when lockdown hit. 

The just-marrieds couldn’t hide their smiles though as they finally said ‘I do’ at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester before they posed for photos in the pretty Cotswold village of Bibury.

Kirk, a specialist in wood restoration, and his new wife, stride down the aisle in Cirencester. While the BBC star looked suave in a sharp blue suit and brown brogues, his bride looked beautiful in a simple bridal gown with lace detail sleeves

The happy couple looked a stylish pair, with Kirk looking sharp in a navy blue suit, matching waistcoat, floral tie and brown brogues. 

Meanwhile, his bride looked stunning in a floor-length bridal gown with lace detail on the sleeves, with her hair worn tied loosely back with white roses. 

Many of Kirk’s The Repair Shop co-stars, including Steven Fletcher, Suzie Fletcher, Jay Blades and Kirsten Ramsay left the television workshop to don their glad rags and toast the happy couple. 

Photographer Siobhan Beales, who was behind the camera for the big day, also posted photos of the newlyweds, and shared their excitement of the day. 

Beales wrote: ‘Introducing the new Mr and Mrs. What an epic day yesterday with this beautiful pair and their nearest and dearest, they certainly deserved the best day after postponing. And boyyyyy did they do that, a dance floor I won’t be forgetting about in a while! Thank you so much for having me along for the ride you two!!’

The Repair Shop, where members of the public bring much-loved but broken family heirlooms to be repaired and restored by a team of experts, has been captivating an ever-growing BBC audience (prior to lockdown just under three million viewers were tuning in) since it launched in 2017.

Kirk has become a favourite on the show and the programme pulled in six and a half million viewers during lockdown as its gripping combination of master craftsmanship and deeply personal stories captivated craft-loving audiences.
