The International Wedding Photographer of the Year photos will melt your heart11/15/2020
Lots of weddings were put on hold this year, but some still took place and photographers were on hand to capture the magical memories.
Some couples even had their special days documented in an award-winning style.
The winners of the International Wedding Photographer of the Year have been revealed and the snaps will warm your heart.
Photographers from more than 60 countries entered the 2020 awards, with ten categories including Album Design, Epic Location, Single Capture (Photojournalism), Bridal Party, Couple Portrait, Solo Portrait, Dance Floor, From Above, Engagement/Non-Wedding Day and Black and White.
The winning entry went to James Simmons, from Perth, for his dramatic black and white photograph taken of newlyweds Lisa and James.
Captured before their reception, the portrait was taken as Lisa was standing against a dark column which highlights the stunning detail of her white dress and veil.
Antonio Crutchley came as a runner up in the competition for his beautiful picture of a couple sat in a car, reading something in a newspaper. His entry won the Non-Wedding Day prize.
Croatian wedding photographer Midhat Mulabdić scooped the Solo Portrait prize with her snap of a little girl in the bridal party wearing some adult shoes.
Elsewhere Mike Vallely, a photographer from Canada, won the From Above category with his aerial shot of two tables at a wedding reception – one taking shots while the other table eats soup.
This year saw the addition of the Rising Ninja Star Award. The winning photo, taken by Midhat Mulabdić, shows a couple sharing a kiss in the middle of a lavish hall.
