Watch Me Whip rapper Silento charged with murder after cousin found dead

Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae rapper Silento has reportedly been charged with murder after allegedly shooting his cousin according to DeKalb County Police Department

The star who was catapulted to international fame with his hit single was arrested on Monday after reportedly shooting his cousin, Frederick Rooks according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Silento, whose real name is Richard 'Ricky' Hawk is said to have gunned down his cousin on January 21, with cops finding Rooks in the middle of a street with several gunshot wounds.

The incident is said to have happened on Deep Shoals Circle in Panthersville, Georgia at around 3.30am, with Frederick being pronounced dead on the scene.

An incident report from the police department confirmed that he sustained gunshot wounds to his face and leg with eight shell casings being picked up at the scene.

In a statement shared across social media, the department said: "Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34. On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks' death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle.

"Hawk is in the DeKalb County Jail charged with Murder."
