Outlander: Season 7 part 2 teaser for STARZ drama

The Outlander world is brimming with intricate intricacies, sparking a multitude of questions from those new to the fandom be it via Diana Gabaldon’s book series or the Starz hit.

A frequently posed query centres on the number of biological offspring attributed to Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan).

Jamie is the father of three children, although only two play prominent roles in the story.

Yet, there exists a third child whose significance cannot be disregarded.

All the way back in season two, Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) bore a child named Faith Fraser without the Highlander anywhere close to the hospital.

Sadly, this infant was stillborn, and while Claire’s nurse Mother Hildegarde wasn’t obligated to baptise her, she felt compelled to ensure Faith received a proper farewell.

Following Faith, Jamie and Claire got pregnant again.

But Jamie would not be at the birth of this child either. While the Battle of Culloden threatened both of their lives, Jamie sent Claire back through the stones.

She promises that she will name the baby Brian, after Jamie’s late father. So, when she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, she chose the name Brianna (Sophie Skelton)

Brianna would not meet her biological father until season four.

After the war and his time in prison, Jamie was paroled as a stable hand at Helwater.

During his time there, he became romantically involved with Geneva, resulting in the birth of their son, whom they named William.

Tragically, Geneva passed away during childbirth.

Jamie remained at Helwater for as long as possible, but his striking resemblance to William became increasingly evident, necessitating his eventual departure from the estate.

After his “father” died when he was six, William was raised by Lord John Grey, his legal guardian and the husband of Geneva’s younger sister, Isobel Dunsany.

Lord John is also Jamie’s close friend and confidant.

When season 7 of Outlander returns with part 2, William and Jamie will again be on opposing sides of the Revolutionary War.

Outlander seasons 1-7 are available to stream on Starz in the USA and on Lionsgate+ in the UK
