Amir Khan’s body is left in agony as he tackles one of the toughest challenges in I'm A Celebrity history | The Sun

I’M A Celebrity star Amir Khan is left in agony as he tackles the highest trial in the show’s 21 year history.

The boxing champion will be joined by actress Helen Flanagan and TV presenter Carol Vorderman as they are forced to walk the plank and balance on huge red balls suspended some 840 m – 2,760 ft – in the air.

A Bush Bulletin brings news of the next terrifying Trial.

Carol reads: “Celebrities, it is now time for three of you to take part in today’s Trial, World’s End.”

She adds: “The names are here: Amir, Helen and Myleene.”

Toff tells Helen: “You’ve got to do better this time. Sorry to be savage, but you have to.”

Andy adds: “Just remember, if you come back with no stars, Janice will rip your head off.”

Arriving at the Trial, the trio are told they will all be climbing a crane-like structure 1,100m high, in a bid to unhook stars and attach them to themselves.

A nervous Amir insists: “Camp’s been eating well… we have to get through this. We’ve got a strong team today. We’re going to make sure we have another feast tonight.”

Helen, who is infamous for refusing to do trials, shocks hosts Ant and Dec as she says: “Guys, I’m not going to let you down, I’m going to do it.”

But things take an uncomfortable turn for Amir.

During the Trial, the boxer slips down heavily onto a suspended plank.

As the hosts grimace, Amir reassures them and says: “The jewels are alright guys, don’t worry.”

Meanwhile, has Helen stuck to her promise? And how’s Myleene’s head for heights?

The death-defying challenges are just some of the horrifying moments that the all-star group will face.

An ITV source said: “If the celebrities think they learned some tricks of the trade in Australia, they are in for a shock.

“This series includes the highest ever trial of any series.

“If viewers think Australia’s Walk The Plank challenge off the 32-storey building is bad, producers this year had an entire national park to play with.

“Believe me, there were no holds barred.”
