Armie Hammer nearly cut out of Death on the Nile trailer after actor finishes rehab following rape & cannibal sex claims

12/21/2021

ARMIE Hammer is barely seen in the new Death on the Nile trailer after he completed his rehab following rape and cannibal sex claims.

The 35-year-old lost out on plenty of upcoming Hollywood projects following the various accusations, however, it seems Disney and 20th Century kept him on board for this film.

The trailer for the new mystery-thriller directed by Kenneth Branagh was released today, and it features plenty of familiar faces including Armie's- even if he's barely seen in the preview.

While the trailer shows plenty of stars like Gal Gadot, Tom Bateman, Russell Brand, Rose Leslie, and others, it was edited in a way to keep the Call Me Now star out of view.

Armie is barely seen at the kick off the trailer as he spins Gal's character around, and then he's perfectly hidden by the Wonder Woman star's head in another clip.

A few side views of Armie is seen in the preview, but never enough to fully realize it is the controversial actor.

Fans were quick to notice the marketing tactic as they took to Twitter to react.

One person said: "The way they absolutely don't want you to know Armie Hammer is in this movie."

ARMIE FINISHES REHAB

Earlier on in December Armie completed his rehab after nine months of treatment following shocking accusations of rape and cannibalistic sex desires.

A source exclusively told The Sun at the time: "Armie is out of the treatment facility where he spent almost 9 months.

"He is doing really well and it's wonderful news for his family. He's back in the Cayman Islands."

SHOCKING CLAIMS

For many months, the star was hit with accusations of abuse by a number of ex-girlfriends, and disturbing messages, which were leaked on social media.

One message showed he allegedly claimed he was "100% a cannibal" and claimed to have told a woman: "I want to eat you."

Armie was investigated by police in Los Angeles after a former lover, only identified as Effie, who claimed he had "mentally, emotionally and sexually" abused her during their four-year relationship.

In 2017, Effie alleged that she was violently raped when Armie slammed her head against a wall.

She also alleged that he whipped her feet with a crop, which would hurt for days.

The Sun understands Effie has yet to file any civil claim amid the ongoing police investigation.

Armie's attorney released a statement following the claims: "These assertions about Mr. Hammer are patently untrue. Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory."

MORE CHAOS

A number of others exes, including Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, soon came forward with similar claims, which led Armie to be dropped by his talent agency, and he bowed out of a number of upcoming film projects.

Armie and his wife, Elizabeth Chambers, announced in July 2020 that they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage.

The exes share two children: daughter Harper, seven, and son Ford, four.

Armie is now said to have the support of his family and new girlfriend, dental hygienist Lisa Perejma.
