Britney Spears' family 'furious' after singer's boyfriend Sam Asghari slams her dad Jamie as a 'd**k' in Instagram rant

BRITNEY Spears’ family is “furious” after the singer’s boyfriend, Sam Asghari, called her dad Jamie a “d**k” on Instagram, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

The rant came days after the release of documentary Framing Britney Spears, which shed light on her mental breakdown, 13-year conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement.

Sam, 27, who has been dating Britney, 39, since 2017, wrote on his Instagram story Tuesday: "Now it's important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way. In my opinion, Jamie is a total d**k.

"I won't be going into detail because I've always respected our privacy but at the same time, I didn't come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom."

A source close to the family told The Sun they were “shocked” and “furious" over the post.

The insider said: “They didn’t appreciate the derogatory comment. They actually liked him."

The source also backed the family’s controversial conservatorship over Britney, as the documentary helped validate the #FreeBritney movement that aims to give the singer independence from the court order.

The insider said: “Anyone who thinks a parent wouldn’t have their children’s best intentions in mind is crazy.

"From an outsider looking in, wouldn’t there be other family members going wild if the situation wasn’t right? So what are these people thinking? It’s the craziest thing.”

The Sun previously reported Britney will “not be freed from her conservatorship” and will continue to be in “constant care.”

A source told The Sun: "She is back to never being alone and basically having constant care. No one is ready to allow her to do things 100% on her own, she just isn't there yet.

"Despite everything she did, there is no change happening anytime soon. People don’t believe she is ready.”

The insider continued: "This is a very rare scenario that someone has such little control of their own finances as an adult, and sadly the situation can only be described as a mess.

"Everyone on her team believes the conservatorship needs to stay in place."

As for Sam, he has "managed to get rid of the hanger ons, and the team really trusts him."

The source continued: "Britney loves Sam and relies on him so much that her team often worries where she would be without him. But for now, things between them have been really good.”

The pop star's conservatorship was implemented in 2008 after she had a mental health breakdown.

The arrangement put her financial and personal assets, along with her estate, under the control of her father Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who has since resigned.

Britney’s father temporarily stepped down as her conservator due to “personal health reasons,” as Jodi Montgomery was made temporary conservator until January 20, 2020.

The move came after Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, filed a police report against Jamie, claiming he abused their oldest son, Sean Preston, during an August 24 incident. No criminal charges were filed against Jamie.

Federline, 42, was granted a temporary restraining order.

Jamie is forbidden from seeing Sean Preston, 15, and Jayden James, 14, for three years.

In August 2019, Federline was granted 70 percent of time with their sons.

According to reports, their previous agreement was 50/50 custody.

In August 2020, Britney’s attorney, Sam Ingham, filed documents requesting Jamie be removed as conservator of her estate, as he claimed Britney is “afraid" of her father.

The request was rejected and there is a court hearing in the case later this month.
