While Lucy has been praised for her glowing appearance it seems that the latter stages of her pregnancy proved to be a bit of a struggle.
So much so, Lucy who played Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, was suffering with Braxton Hicks contractions in the run up to her birth.
Sharing her thoughts with fans on her social media, Lucy asked: "Why are my Braxton-Hicks painful? Do any of you know? Am I just pathetic?"
Braxton Hicks, which are also known as practice contractions are said to be perfectly normal for all expectant mothers, as its the tightening of the muscles in the uterus.
Lucy announced she was pregnant back in September after keeping it a secret for five months, so it was only fitting that she threw a lavish baby shower in December last year.
The party was held at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool where guests partied until 2am and were treated to a constant flow of prosecco and a DJ.
