EastEnders Laila Morse got naked in front of ITV Full Monty co-stars on day one12/02/2021
EastEnders legend Laila Morse has admitted that she was more than happy to get naked in front of her co-stars as she took part in ITV's Strictly the Real Full Monty.
The outspoken actress, who is known to fans for playing the legendary Mo Harris in the long-running BBC soap, had no problem revealing all during rehearsals which left the other celebrity participants stunned.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at a round table press conference, Laila said she was happy to strip off in front of people on day one, adding: "And I never even knew them!"
Co-star Christine McGuinness, who also took part in the interview, confirmed this and said: "Mo's had no problem in stripping, she just so confident.
"It's true. We're now like two months in and none of us have bothered."
Laila joked: "I'm still waiting."
The popular actress, who previously took part in ITV's I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, also spoke openly about her breast cancer diagnosis and how she managed to fight the awful disease.
She said: "I mean, I've had cancer. In 2005 I had the operation I had it taken out and touch wood, I'm still here.
"And that was only because of Wendy Richards making me go because I wasn't going to bother. She told me 'you better go or I'm going to find out.'"
Laila continued: "So I went and the doctor said you're going up to Guys. So I went up there had the thing and he came back whenever and it was all done and dusted in a fortnight.
"I didn't have chemo, I had the radiotherapy, but yeah, it could have gone the other way. But that's why I didn't worry about taking my clothes off because if I was dead, I wouldn't be here today doing it."
The actress then spoke openly about her sister's experience, as she was diagnosed with cancer during lockdown but luckily she is now ok.
Strictly the Real Full Monty will air Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 December at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub
