EastEnders actor Steve McFadden has become one of the show's most well-known stars for playing Albert Square resident Phil Mitchell.

The 62-year-old soap star has been on the popular programme since joining in 1990.

Phil is known for being the son of Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor), and the brother of Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and Sam Mitchell (Danielle Westbrook).

The character is also famous for having a string of romances with various residents of Albert Square, situated in the fictional West London borough, Walford.

But what about McFadden's life away from the cameras on Albert Square?

Daily Star is exploring the soap star's real-life relationship, family and huge net worth.

Steve is father to five children, and currently in a relationship with girlfriend, Karen Cairns.

The BBC actor has a son named Matthew, who is thought to be 35, with his former girlfriend Sue Marshall.

McFadden has two daughters with ex partner Angela Bostock, Teona, 24, and Mollie Jane, 19.

He has a daughter Amelie, 11, with ex Rachel Sidwell.

Sidwell gave birth to Amelie back in June 2009, but her relationship with Steve reportedly ended two months later.

Steve's youngest daughter is Frankie, 4, who he shares with current girlfriend Karen Cairns.

Karen and Steve welcomed Frankie into the world in June 2016.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Steve and Karen are both over the moon.
