Emmerdale fans have seen Jamie Tate (played by Alexander Lincoln) fall out with most of the village after he was revealed as the culprit of Moira Barton’s (Natalie J Robb) hit-and-run incident. Despite Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) agreeing to take the rap so his aunty Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) would not have to face prison, her mental illness has now gripped hold of her and tonight, ITV viewers saw her at her worst yet – but could she accidentally end up brutally hurting Sam Dingle (James Hooton) after a huge clue was spotted by those tuning in?
Belle has heard the voices of her late mother Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) for weeks as she’s entered onto a downward spiral.
And despite her family desperate to help, they finally realised how unwell Belle was this evening.
Tonight’s episode saw Belle seem detached as she constantly wanted to listen to music on her phone amid Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) and Nate’s baby shower.
But it wasn’t until her brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) turned up at The Woolpack the alarm was raised about Belle’s welfare.
Tracy was forced into admitting her and Nate had seen Belle digging up a grave days earlier.
And it was Lydia (Karen Blick) who put into motion the search party after joining the dots together over her missing knife.
Now, fans of the ITV soap are convinced it’s her husband Sam who will be hurt by Belle as she runs around the woods with a knife.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “She’s obviously going to stab Sam thinking it’s Jamie #emmerdale.”
Another said: “It was very good. The actor that plays Jamie, has changed and he plays it very well. #Emmerdale Doesn’t look good for #Sam.”
“I thought Belle was gonna stab Cain or Sam thinking it was Jamie. #Emmerdale,” agreed a third.
A fourth concerned fan wrote: “#Emmerdale Belle isn’t going stab poor Sam, is she?”
“I think Belle could hurt someone else thinking they are Jamie, maybe Sam @emmerdale #Emmerdale,” added a fifth.

The final minutes of tonight’s episode saw Belle’s head become more consumed by intrusive thoughts.
She believed her mum was instructing her to “protect herself and her family” which meant she needed to get rid of Jamie.
Despite Belle being convinced Jamie was right behind her, it was all a hallucination as Sam could be heard in the distance shouting for his relative.
Will Sam end up hurt in a case of wrong place, wrong time?
It comes after a scene earlier on where Belle had mistaken Sam for Jamie when he had come downstairs earlier that day.
Could this be a clue Sam is in huge danger of ending up in harm’s way?
Elsewhere in the Dales, Tracy and Nate finally found out the gender of their baby – a girl.
However, with Nate’s trial looming, will evidence of Jamie’s crimes come to light or will he be sent down for a very long time?
Emmerdale airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm and Thursdays at 7pm and 8pm on ITV.
