Emmerdale’s Paul death fears as he’s kidnapped in Mandy Dingle horror

02/09/2021

Paul Ashdale (played by Reece Dinsdale) has been a complicated character on Emmerdale over the past couple of months, as he has regularly used violence to abuse his son Vinny (Bradley Johnson).

The ITV soap depicted the down and out father-of-one in some truly terrifying scenes as he beat his son to a pulp last month.

Things changed when the character, who had just gotten engaged to Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), was run over in a hit and run, and while Mandy had finally discovered what Paul was doing to their son, she agreed to let him stay with them to help him get back on his feet.

Next week, Emmerdale spoilers reveal things go from bad to worse again as Paul is kidnapped in terrifying scenes on the ITV soap.

It all begins when Connor turns up at the scrapyard demanding the money he’s owed and Paul struggles to come up with an excuse as to why he doesn’t have it.

Things quickly escalate as Connor produces a dangerous metal weapon and threatens Paul into submission.

Terrified for his life, Paul manages to call Mandy and leaves a voicemail begging her for help, but when she turns up to find him it’s Connor she sees pulling up and kidnapping her former fiancé.

Donning a black balaclava, Connor isn’t joking around and violently bundles Paul into his van.

About to screech off away from the scrapyard, Connor demands £4,000 to pay off Paul’s debts and warns Mandy that if she doesn’t pay the ransom by the next day she’ll never see her son’s father alive again.

Mandy and Vinny try to raise the money from family but it doesn’t go well, and they end up with only £1,000 of the required cash.

The mother-son duo beg for more time to get the rest but Connor and his cronies are unwilling to relax their demands.

Connor orders the pair to bring the money to a lay-by in the village the next day, prompting Mandy to hatch a plot of her own in secret.

Vinny, Liv and Lydia are absolutely stunned when Mandy turns up with a bag full of notes the following morning, and she refuses to tell them where she wrangled the cash from.

The storyline comes to a head when Mandy, armed with a cricket bat, arrives at the lay-by with the money and her son in tow.

Connor arrives and the group are left in a stand-off as the Dingles are forced to proceed carefully – aware that even with the money Connor may refuse to give back Paul.

Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
