Fanny Chmelar gets her own back on Bradley Walsh after viral The Chase clip10/19/2023
The Chase’s Bradley Walsh can’t stop laughing over Fanny Chmelar question
Many will remember the infamous clip of The Chase host Bradley Walsh struggling to pronounce the German skier – Fanny Chmelar’s – name. The more he tried, the more he found himself struggling to contain his hysterics, which eventually ended with him in tears of laughter.
But Bradley finally came face to face with Fanny – over a decade after the clip of him laughing at her name went viral across social media.
In a new episode of Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, the comedian and actor finds himself unwittingly taking part in the show’s regular Midnight Gameshow segment.
When Bradley is hauled from a hotel bed in the middle of the night he soon realises that he is taking part in that portion of Michael’s show.

And if that wasn’t enough of a shock, he finally meets Fanny.
A TV insider revealed to The Sun: “As if he weren’t bewildered enough by being dragged from his slumber by McIntyre and the film crew, he suddenly finds himself face to face with Fanny.”
Thanks to the help of Bradley’s wife Donna and son Barney, the German skier appears in person as part of the prank.

While the two have never met in person until now, Bradley did apologise to Fanny back in 2017 when he appeared on Lorraine. At the time he explained: “I’d love to meet her, just to apologise.”
He continued: “She must have had enough of it by now. The poor thing. I do apologise. I have to apologise to Fanny. I’m sorry, Fanny. She’s a very good downhill skier by all accounts.”
However, it appeared that Fanny didn’t want anything to do with the situation back then. After Lorraine host Christine Lampard outlined that they had reached out to the sportswoman to see if she had anything to say to him, she relayed the following: “She got back to us and said, ‘I’m just not interested’. She basically told us to clear off, in the nicest way.”
But it appears that Fanny was happy to put the incident to bed, quite literally on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show. Since it was uploaded to The Chase’s YouTube channel 10 years ago, the clip of Bradley asking a contestant which sport Fanny competes in has racked up over three million views.
Viewers will need to tune in to see exactly how their meeting went.
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show airs on BBC One.
