Furious This Morning fans slam show for beginning countdown to Christmas | The Sun

THIS MORNING viewers were up in arms today as Holly WIlloughby and Phillip Schofield began counting down to Christmas.

Just two days after Halloween, the presenting duo officially began looking ahead to the next festive season.

The studio was decorated with a large Christmas tree and festive tunes played out.

After previewing Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell's new Christmas flick Spirited, Holly said: "Now that is my type of move. I think I've seen every Christmas film a gazillion times. When a new one comes along, especially with a cast like that, how brilliant."

Two of its stars, Will and Octavia Spencer, will be in the studio to talk about it on November 15.

Viewers weren't so keen though, with one writing on Twitter: "Christmas starts after Guy Fawkes not Halloween."

Another posted: "Omg thismorning have their Christmas tree up!! It’s my birthday & the World Cup in November first!!"

A third said: "Why is This Morning talking about Christmas already, its only November 2nd."

Another fumed: "Are you taking the p**s ? A Christmas tree it’s the 2nd of November for crying out loud."

Keen to get into the seasonal spirit, the show even looked at the best beauty advent calendars back in September for a consumer segment.

The set was decorated with a Christmas tree, which once again triggered viewers.
