‘Get over it!’ Andrew Pierce clashes with Remainer Femi on GMB for not ‘accepting Brexit’


GMB: Femi Oluwole and Andrew Pierce clash during Brexit debate

Charlotte Hawkins and Alex Beresford welcomed Brexiteer Andrew Pierce and Remainer Femi Oluwole on to Good Morning Britain today as it was revealed Boris Johnson is poised to announce the UK and EU have reached a Brexit agreement. However, Pierce felt Oluwole was criticising the prospect of a deal simply because he was against Brexit as a whole. 

Pierce said: “He ends the year having done a deal. Of course he’s not going to please all his own party, he can’t please all his own country, he’ll never please Femi because Femi is passionate about remaining in the European Union. 

“The deal is done and most people will wake up this morning and be relieved that’s the case.”

Oluwole replied: “It’s funny that you mention public consent. As I mentioned you’ve got many contingents of those who voted Brexit who oppose the deal, DUP, the Brexit Party…”

Interrupting, Pierce said: “We had a referendum in 2016…”
