Kimberly Wyatt reveals brutal injuries to her 'head, neck, elbows AND knees’ in intense DOI training

FORMER Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt has revealed that she suffered brutal bruising injuries all over her body during intense skating training.

The star, who is set to appear in the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice, told Good Morning Britain she had injured her "head, neck, elbows and knees".

Kimberly, 39, was joined by skating partner Mark Hanretty to chat about their preparation ahead of Sunday night's first live show on ITV.

The singer told GMB hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard about how the number of brutal tumbles she had taken on the ice during her training.

"I fall on average probably twice every time I step onto the ice for a training session, it’s certainly part of it," Kimberly explained.

"The falls really hurt – like that bite lasts about 20 minutes before it subsides. The bruises are intense but it’s all part of it."

Ben, 47, joked that he would be wearing "knee pads and elbow pads", as Kate, 54, added: "I'd be in an inflatable sumo suit if I'm honest."

Revealing she had tried various types of padding, Kimberly went on to list her injuries, which included a number of nasty bruises.

“I went to practice one day and wore knee pads because I hit them so hard, and instead I hit my neck, my head, my elbows and my hips," she said.

The Pussycat Dolls star is among a number of celebrities tipped to be the early favourites of the new series, alongside former Strictly star Brendan Cole.

The new celebrity contestants on the ITV skating show will take to the ice for the first time on Sunday night as the competition kicks off.

The blonde mum-of-three had scraped her hair back for the clip and was sporting a full face of make-up.

While slowly making her way around the ice, she told her followers: "Five days to go. I'm working on all the little bits, trying to get it as amazing as possible."

Kimberly then showed fans the tunnel that all the Dancing On Ice contestants skate through to get onto the rink, adding: "It's getting very close now.

"I can't wait to share all the hard work that's been going into trying my best to become a figure skater and try my hand at Dancing On Ice.

"Yeah, I'm excited to share. Sending lots of love. Have a powerful, amazing, awesome week. Peace out, y'all!"
