Phillip Schofield is set to return to This Morning next week following his lengthy summer break.

Ahead of his return, Phillip took to social media as he updated fans on his final days of summer before heading back.

The TV star posted a snap on Instagram as he relaxed in the comfort of his garden.

Filled with plenty of greenery and huge trees, the outdoor area made for the perfect space for Phillip to take in the sunshine.

Captioning the post, he added: "Back to work next week… last of the summer vibes in the garden."

His latest post comes days after Phillip underwent surgery to remove "floaters" from his eyes.

Following the procedure, the presenter took to social media to update fans on his condition.

He shared: "Still a very dilated right eye but 100% floater free in both eyes!!

"For the first time in years…. A beautiful clear blue sky!"

The star went on: "Might have just shed a little tear as I look up that the blemish free sky."

Phillip had his first operation in July and told his followers about the surgery.

At the time, he said: "FLOATERS: Details as promised if you suffer from debilitating floaters. Firstly, no part of my treatment and surgery was gifted and I wasn’t asked to post. It is also pioneering and costly.

"It was carried out by Prof Stanga at The Retina Clinic in London.

“I had Elective limited pars plana vitrectomy surgery. It didn’t hurt! If you have been told ‘just live with them’ that is not necessarily true, I’m sure there are exceptions, but they can be fixed.

“Prof Stanga and his team are leading the field here in the UK in this and other retinal treatments with state of the art equipment and rigorous pre op consultation and post op aftercare."

Floaters are small dark dots, squiggly lines, rings or cobwebs in your vision lots of people, particularly elderly people, get.

Phil first spoke about the irritating eye condition on This Morning in 2020 in a health segment.

He explained that he wanted the vitrectomy surgery, but it was only available in America at the time.

Phillip and Holly have been replaced by a string of familiar faces over the summer.

The line up included Ruth Langsford, Vernon Kay, Josie Gibson, Rylan Clark, Craig Doyle, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Andi Peters.
