Ruth Langsford has shared a fabulous video clip from the early days of her television career, driving fans wild with the glamorous footage.

The 60-year-old ITV presenter was interviewed by her Loose Women co-stars on Wednesday as part of the show's Life Before Loose series.

Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter probed the television anchor about her upbringing, which included going to boarding school and meeting her hubby Eamonn Holmes.

Ahead of the show, Ruth posted a throwback clip to her social media, sharing the video with her 965,000 followers on Instagram.

Ruth looked dazzling in a bright orange suit jacket, her dark blonde locks styled in a straight 'do with a voluminous fringe.

She captioned the post: "This is my posh twin back in her Continuity Presenter days at Television South West… just one of the clips that the team at Loose Women have unearthed for my Life Before Loose show today… dread to think what else they've found! Tune in to ITV at 12.30 to find out!"

The star was joking about her voice as she certainly boasted a posh accent in the unearthed clip.

Her followers rushed to leave a comment on the post, showering the television star with messages of love and praise.

One said: "You haven't changed much still beautiful."

While another wrote: "I love this, you look amazing! And still do."

A few also remarked on Ruth's television voice, as one added: "Love it Ruth! Very posh".

"So posh," penned another with a laughing-face emoji icon.

After learning shorthand and touch typing, Ruth did some temp work before landing her big break.

She then worked for the ITV regional station in Plymouth, before leaving when West Country Television took over the franchise.

Ruth went on to become a regular panellist on ITV's Loose Women from 1999 until leaving the show in 2002.

She returned as a regular Loose Women anchor in 2014 and also hosts This Morning alongside her husband Eamonn.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
