Spoilers: Mick suffers in the wake of child sex abuse revelation in EastEnders10/13/2020
EastEnders fans were left horrified last night when the soap confirmed that Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) had been sexually abused by his carer Katy Lewis from the age of 12.
And the news about her own mother left Mick’s newly found daughter Frankie (Rose Ayling-Ellis) sick to the stomach as she realised the enormity of what the supposed ‘affair’ actually entailed.
Tonight, the soap continues to explore the impact on Mick, who so far doesn’t appear to view what happened as abuse, as he explained to Frankie that times were different back then.
But will he seek Frankie out and talk her through the twisted relationship he was groomed into as a vulnerable youngster?
Meanwhile, Mick continues to isolate himself from his family, leaving Linda (Kellie Bright) confused.
But is Shirley (Linda Henry) closer to the truth than anyone?
She certainly clocked Mick’s strained reaction to discussions about Katy – and it seems she wasn’t a fan of her either, as she branded her ‘Saint Katy’ sarcastically.
As Mick continues to struggle, will he finally come clean about his haunted past – and realise the relationship he had with Katy was abuse?
