Suits first premiered onto our screens in 2011, and quickly rose to global prominence for its confident characters, tense arguments and raunchy scenes.

The drama show lasted for nine series, ending after 134 episodes in September of 2019. It also spawned a spin-off, Pearson that had its debut in July of 2019.

The series helped catapult Meghan Markle to global fame where she went onto marry Prince Harry after a kept-under-the-radar romance that started in 2016.

The rest of the cast of Suits have gone on to also achieve superstardom for their performances but also other factors that have occurred in their lives.

Gabriel Macht

The 50-year-old actor played the cocky senior partner at the prestigious law firm Pearson Hardman and is known as one of New York's top litigators.

He hires the main character Mike Ross and acts as a mentor to Mike throughout the show.

Away from the series, Gabriel has been best friends with Suits co-star Sarah Rafferty for over 28 years and stayed on the show for all nine seasons, as well as appearing in one episode of spin-off Pearson.

He attended Meghan and Harry's wedding with his wife Jacinda Barrett where he later recalled a sweet moment with a member of the Queen’s staff.

He told Harper’s Bazaar: "This fellow came up to me, and he said ‘Gabriel, I’m the Queen’s page. I love Harvey, and I love Suits. I just wanted to let you know.’ That was just classic!"

Patrick J. Adams

The 40-year-old star played the main protagonist of the series, the associate hired by Harvey Specter. His character is the lovable rogue with a photographic memory, complete with encyclopaedic knowledge.

Except there's one catch, he never attended Harvard Law School and he continues to lie about it throughout the series. He plays the love interest of Meghan's character, Rachel Zane, with the characters marrying at the end of season 7.

For his role in Suits, Adams was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series at the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2020 he played John Glenn in the Disney Plus miniseries The Right Stuff.

He’s also been cast in the Canadian Drama series Plan B which is set to air in 2023.

The actor is married to Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisari, who gave birth to the couple's second baby girl in June of this year.

The pair attended Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry together in Windsor in 2018, and he's always been close with the actress, consistently praising her in public.

After Meghan was accused of being rude to her staff, something she has vehemently denied, he wrote: "From day one she was an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive member of our television family. She remained that person and colleague as fame, prestige and power accrued."

Rick Hoffman

The 52-year-old star played one of the original antagonists, Louis Litt, a partner at Pearson Hardman who is the firm's leading authority expert on all financial matters.

He’s also the direct supervisor of the firm's associate attorneys. He is self-serving, described as overly pedantic, jealous to the point of paranoia, highly suspicious, snobbish, and cruel.

His most recent television role was in Season five of the Critics Choice Award nominated drama series Billions where he played the role of Dr. Swerdlow, alongside the likes of Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis in 2020.

He has also had an extensive film career, appearing in Lethal Weapon 4, The Day After Tomorrow and two Hostel films.

When the news emerged that Meghan was dating Prince Harry, he gave her a stark warning, telling America Today at the time: “And it was like, both of us in the trailer like, 'oh, my. You're going – you're dating a prince? … was just like, 'well, take it slow. Be careful. Don't let him hurt you.”

Meghan Markle

Meghan played the expert paralegal Rachel Zane who had huge ambitions to be an attorney. She is at first, Mike Ross' friend but they later develop romantic feelings. At the end of season seven, she and Mike decide to get married and they depart the series and move to Seattle to start a new life together.

During the season, Fortune magazine estimated that the actress was one of the highest paid stars of the show, reportedly earning upwards of $50,000 (£41,000) per episode, amounting to an equivalent annual salary of $450,000 (£373,000).

She departed the series after season seven to get married to Prince Harry, whom she met in 2016.

Their engagement was announced in November of 2017 by Prince Charles.

The wedding was held on May 19 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in 2018.

Her wedding dress was designed by the British designer Clare Waight Keller, while the ceremony was attended by her co-stars Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres.

After marrying Prince Harry, she was given the title of The Duchess Of Sussex by the Queen. Meghan later gave birth to two children, Archie, now aged three, and Lilibet, aged 13 months.

But the former actress and Prince Harry decided to step back as senior members of the Royal Family in January of 2020. They retained their HRH titles but they would be inactive and would not be used.

The couple made their first official appearance, since stepping back, in the UK in June 2022 while attending the Platinum Jubilee National Service of Thanksgiving.

Sarah Rafferty

The 49-year-old star played Donna Paulsen, Harvey's former secretary and confidante. She knows the private details of all his personal life and relationships.

She was promoted to the post of Chief Operating Officer of the firm in season 7. Harvey and Donna get together by Season 8's end and get married in the Season 9 finale and tell Jessica they are moving to Seattle to work with Mike Ross and Rachel Zane.

She was present at Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding, attending with her husband, Santtu Seppälä.

he is also known for her reoccurring role as Suzanne in Grey’s Anatomy and recently played Pamela Blake in the NBC series Chicago Med.

Gina Torres

The 53-year-old star played Jessica Pearson, the no nonsense co-founder of the series' firm.

She is well respected but has an overbearing and a “holier-than-thou attitude” that makes her difficult to work with and for. The character departed the show as a main character in season six to move to Chicago.

However Gina makes various appearances in season seven and the character had her own spin-off Pearson in 2019. She is also known for her appearances in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Her ex-husband is Matrix star Laurence Fishburne.

She was cast in the Netflix romcom film The Perfect Find that finished filming in June 2021 for which she stars alongside Gabrielle Union and La La Anthony. She is also known for appearances in other shows such as Law and Order, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Hannibal and Westworld.

The actress and Meghan Markle were reportedly very close on set, but despite this bond, Gina insisted Meghan told her "very little" about her secret love with Prince Harry.

Gina attended the royal wedding but confessed in 2019 that she no longer speaks to Meghan as they simply had gone on “different trajectories”, but she told Glamour magazine: “There’s no story”.

Later, in an interview with People TV, she made a cheeky joke about Meghan as host Jeremy Parsons said: "You may or may not know this, but your former Suits star Meghan Markle is now the Duchess of Sussex."

Gina replied: "I’m sorry, what? Really? I’ve been a little busy. I've heard rumours."
