The Apprentice's Alex Short was the boss of THREE failed companies before landing role on BBC show01/13/2022
APPRENTICE wannabe Alex Short was the boss of three failed recruitment firms before landing a place on the BBC show.
The 27-year-old is currently battling it out to win a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, but he might need to brush up on his business skills.
According to the MailOnline, Alex was one of two directors of a firm called JobsFindYou Ltd, which was dissolved in 2017 after failing to make money.
The same year that was incorporated, Alex set up another company with a very similar name JobsFindYou Ltd, and that too was dissolved in 2016.
And a third recruitment company called Wellshor Ltd was dissolved in 2020.
Alex now owns Stag Commercial Cleaning Services and has big plans for the business.
Alex told the publication: “I'm the proud owner and sole director of an established and successful business, Stag Cleaning, which, in its 6th year, has a 7 figure turnover with a healthy net profit. I am proud of my past, it has made me who I am today.”
Boasting about his business acumen, Alex previously said: “I would compare myself to a Ferrari, shiny on the outside but under the bonnet, there is a lot of fire and I’m coming for you.”
A statement from the BBC about Alex said: "With big goals for his commercial cleaning business, Alex is driven, focused and says he won't stop until he gets where he wants to go.
"Despite leaving school after the first year of sixth form, and encountering a few hurdles along the way, he is now on the way to tripling his turnover – which he views as the 'most impressive' thing he’s done in business, so far."
The Apprentice returns tonight at 9pm, on BBC One.
