NBC’s exciting crime thriller has kept fans glued to the screens since 2013, with unexpected twists and its overriding mystery theme. Despite The Blacklist entering its ninth season earlier this month, fans who are catching up on the thriller have noticed a major blunder from season three.

The observant viewer took to moviemistakes.com to expose the factual error from the episode titled ‘Mr. Gregory Devry.’

While Red (played by James Spader) was helping the task force crackdown on high-level criminals, Aram’s (Amir Arison) conversation with Elizabeth (Megan Boone) had some incorrect details’

The fans wrote: “Aram tells Elizabeth he downloaded ‘the fourth series of Doctor Who” and ‘Tom Baker is amazing’ (indicating Baker is in series 4).

“Baker was the 4th Doctor and did not appear until series 10 of the original run, “they added.

This was a huge fact-checking error and the fan was correct, Tom Baker was the fourth Doctor on the science fiction series.

While he was the fourth incarnation, he also starred in season 10 of the original series which aired between 1974 and 1981, making him the longest-running time lord in history.

Instead season four of Doctor Who starred William Hartnell, who was the first Doctor in the series.

Although he portrayed the role from 1963 -1966 he later passed the baton to Patrick Troughton, in the series’ first regeneration.

Aram was first introduced to fans in season one as an FBI Special Agent, where he was part of Harold Cooper’s (Harry Lennix) team.

He was also a cyber expert which contradicts this blunder as Aram should’ve been able to identify which Doctor starred in the which series.

After all, he also stated he downloaded it on “the mainframe,” which is a style of computing commonly used by large organisations for bulk data.

However, in the season three scene, he said so to lift Liz’s spirits after she had just been stripped of her badge and gun for becoming a convicted felon.

Despite this, Red still gave her a task to undertake alongside the task force, together that had to infiltrate a meeting on The Shell Island.

While she didn’t understand, Red explained this was an important case as The Shell Island retreat is the pet name for an assembly of affiliated criminal organizations.

After being on the FBI’s most wanted fugitive list Red knew all criminals across the globe and all about their dodgy businesses.

When he first arrived on the scene, he agreed to work with the FBI to crack down on those criminals in exchange for a clear record.

As the series progressed Red’s real identity became a huge mystery and talking point for fans as many are convinced he is actually Liz’s mother.

In the latest season nine of The Blacklist, Liz is no longer a character as she lost her life in the shocking finale.

When the series returned with a two-year time-jump the task force had disbanded and Aram had created a security software company with his partner.

With the successful future sealed for his family, Harold convinced him to re-join the task force however many fans are questioning if he will stay with them or return to a life free of crime.

The Blacklist season nine, part two returns January 6 on NBC.
