Meghan Markle's father appeared in a new bombshell interview today on 60 Minutes Australia.
The estranged father of the Duchess of Sussex shared in the no-holds-barred chat that he thinks veteran TV host Oprah Winfrey is taking advantage of his daughter and her husband Prince Harry.
He shared that he felt Oprah was cashing in on the royal couple to further her huge TV network.
Opening up, Thomas said: "I think Oprah Winfrey is playing Harry and Meghan.
"I think she's using them to build her network and build her new shows.
"I think she's taking advantage of a very weakened man and getting him to say things that you just shouldn't be saying on television."
The 60 Minutes Australia interview then said: "So, you think Oprah has seen, I guess, the frailties of Harry and Meghan and decided to then cash in on that?"
"I think so, Thomas replied. "I mean she might disagree with that and she might even sue me – I don't care – but the bottom line is, to me, it seems like she's working Harry."
Elsewhere in the interview, Thomas shared that the first he knew of the birth of Meghan and Harry's daughter Lilibet was on the radio.
He said: "If I had done something terribly wrong, that would be fine, but I haven't. I just want an answer.”
He added: "I'd love to talk to her. I've made mistakes. I apologised a hundred times for it.
"I'll be very disappointed that I don't get to hold my granddaughter.”
Thomas has had a strained relationship with Harry and Meghan since posing for staged photographs ahead of the couple's wedding in May 2018.
He later admitted the pictures were "hammy" and "embarrassing".
Thomas didn't attend the couple's nuptials at Windsor, which he said was to avoid causing the couple embarrassment. But it was later revealed that he also had to have heart surgery at the time.
