Tragic Jeremy Kyle star Kristie Bishop's mum begged the ITV host to help save her daughter as she battled her drug addiction.

Kristie told how her 15 year crack and heroin addiction had ravaged her body when she appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2018.

She told how she had resorted to sleeping in car parks and conning people out of money and could only inject into her thighs because the veins on the rest of her body were "busted".

Her heartbroken mum Dominique didn't know how else to save her daughter and when asked why they were seeking help, she told Jeremy: "We're so desperate because she's going to die."

After Jeremy gave Kristie some tough love she was sent into rehab for 12 weeks before returning to the show the following February to show off her rehab results and stunning the audience with her transformation.

But sadly, it wasn't enough and just over a year later Kristie lost her battle with drugs.

The 35-year-old was found collapsed on the floor with a syringe nearby by her housemate in Luton in March this year.

She was rushed to hospital but died the following day.

Tests found opiates and cocaine in her system.

An inquest into her death heard how Kristie suffered multi-organ failure, reports Luton Today.

Coroner Dr Sean Cummings told Ampthill Coroner's Court: "Kristie was found collapsed and had been in that position for a prolonged period.

"As a result of that, the doctor told me she had a condition called rhabdomyolysis – where the muscles die and break down.

"It floods the body with toxins… the collapse was started with drug use.

"The muscle breakdown put a great deal of strain on her other organs, her heart and particularly her kidneys."

Recording his verdict, Dr Cummings said: "My conclusion is that Kristie died of a drug-related death.

"That concludes the inquest and I'm very sorry."

Kristie's death comes just over a year after she came back to the now axed Jeremy Kyle show to show off her transformation after rehab.

She looked completely different as she flaunted her new drug-free image in front of the cameras.

Kristie explained her entire process: "My first night in rehab was really difficult because I had to go through a withdrawal process, so I had to go as long as possible through a detox before I could be stable on my medication.

"I know at one point I didn't feel very positive and I was really poorly, but now I've stabilised and on my medication it's a totally different story."
