Actor Neal McDonough is no stranger to audiences’ television screens and, after leaving Yellowstone in season two, the star has appeared on numerous other shows after his stint on the Paramount drama came to an end. McDonough is now set to join the anticipated latest season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Double Feature.

McDonough’s character, Beck, was first introduced on Yellowstone as a cunning businessman and enemy of John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner).

Though, McDonaugh’s stint on the show came to a dramatic end when his character was shot off-screen.

He is no stranger to the small screen and has appeared in The 100, Project Blue Book, Van Helsing, Legends of Tomorrow, Altered Carbon, and Suits in recent years.

Now the actor is set to appear in season ten of Ryan Murphy and Brad Fulchuk’s FX anthology series American Horror Story.

It was revealed to Deadline that McDonough will be joining the show as a series regular and will be portraying a character named Dwight ‘Ike’ Eisenhower.

However, the actor will not be playing the 34th US President, instead a character with the same name.

The Yellowstone star joins a host of familiar faces, including many of American Horror Story’s regular stars.

McDonough joins Frances Conroy, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross and Finn Wittrock, as well as new cast member Macaulay Culkin.

Little is known about the plot for American Horror Story: Double Feature as of yet, but the season will consist of two stories.

One story will be by the sea, the other by the sand.

Filming is currently underway for the tenth season after production was delayed due to COVID-19.

Creator Ryan Murphy told The Wrap the delay could change the entire season’s theme to fit with filming in the hotter months.

Murphy described Double Feature on Instagram and teased fans it would be like “two seasons for the fans airing in one calendar year”.

He also confirmed the latest season would be about “reuniting fan-favourite actors to come back”.

So far, McDonough and Culkin are the only two new actors joining the world of American Horror Story.

McDonough is currently slated to only appear in part two of the tenth season of the FX hit.

McDonough joined Taylor Sheridan and John Linson’s hit series Yellowstone in 2019 as the primary villain of season two.

Beck joined the series alongside his brother Teal (Terry Serpico) and caused all sorts of trouble for the Dutton family.

Despite only appearing in six episodes of the second season, McDonough left quite an impression, and many viewers have speculated his character could possibly return to the series as audiences never actually saw him die on-screen.

Yellowstone season 4 premieres on Paramount Network later this year.

American Horror Story is currently scheduled to air on August 25, 2021 on FX.
