Cops hunt man after girl, 12, sexually assaulted before masked attacker ran away

THAMES Valley Police have issued a plea for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Tuesday night.  

Authorities suggest the incident took place at around 4.20pm when the offender was near to the hill side junction of Oakley Road and Kidmore Road in Caversham, Berkshire.


According to a press release, he reportedly touched the young girl inappropriately over her clothing before the victim escaped and fled the scene.

The man, who also ran away, is described as a Hispanic, aged around 20, and is roughly 5ft 7.

He was last seen wearing a camouflage face mask, a light grey hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Maggie Bruce, of Reading CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I would also urge any motorists who were in the local area around the time of this incident to please check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured what happened or something that could help our investigation.
