The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov.

The pair were recognised for their fight for freedom of expression in the Philippines and Russia

It was announced by Berit Reiss-Andersen, chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.
