A TEXAS woman confessed to allegedly killing a pregnant mom and removing the woman's fetus and then pretending the baby was hers when stopped by authorities.

Taylor Parker, 27, of Texarkana, Texas is in jail on a $5 million bond after she was charged with the murder of Reagan Simmons Hancock, 21, and her unborn child. Simmons was 34 weeks pregnant at the time of her death.

A probable cause affidavit reads Simmons' mom found her daughter face-down in their home "with a large abundance of what appeared to be blood throughout the house" and spread out on the floor, furniture, walls and other items inside the home.

When paramedics arrived to Simmons' home, they found a large gash across the Simmons' stomach and found her baby was missing.

When troopers stopped Parker's car later that morning, they found Parker attempting to do CPR on an infant in her lap.

"The umbilical cord was connected to the infant, which appeared to be coming out of the female’s pants as if she gave birth to the child," said a trooper who described the scene to Texas Rangers.

The baby was later pronounced dead at an Oklahoma hospital.

After doctors determined Parker did not give birth to the infant, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrived at the hospital to question Parker.

Parker told investigators she was "in a physical altercation with Simmons and abducted the unborn child."

She then admitted she was not pregnant and confessed to removing the unborn baby from Simmons.

"Parker cased the death of Simmons and abducted the unborn child from Simmons’ body," the affidavit read.

"Parker did not have consent to leave the home with the child and due to the inability to provide necessary care to the child, Parker caused the death of the baby," it concluded.

Investigators also interviewed Parker's boyfriend, who said she told him and some of their friends and relatives she was pregnant. She also told him she was heading to the hospital to pre-register to be induced that same day.

Parker's boyfriend said the two of them recently held a gender reveal party in celebration of the baby's arrival.

Parker is being held in Bowie County on a $5 million bond.
